We use Google Analytics to collect information about how you use our application. This information helps us understand user behavior and improve the app. Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and usage patterns. If you use the contact form, the name, email address and message you enter are transmitted to and stored by Netlify, who host this site, and are forwarded to us by email. We use them only to reply to you. Netlify processes the submission on our behalf; see Netlify's Privacy Policy for how they handle it. You can write to contact@greatmahabharataquiz.com directly instead if you would rather not use the form.
The home page shows the first names of people who have completed the quiz, alongside how many days they took. The first name is taken from the name that person chose to have printed on their certificate. No email address, surname, score or other detail is shown. If you have earned a certificate and would prefer your name not to appear there, write to contact@greatmahabharataquiz.com and it will be removed.
We send two kinds of email to the address you signed in with, and nothing else. We do not sell or share your address, and we send no advertising.
Rank emails. When you reach a rank in the quiz — Yodha, Ratha, Maharatha or Atiratha — we send one email to tell you so. There are only four ranks, so these are rare. They are sent through Zoho Mail, our email provider, who transmit them on our behalf; see Zoho's Privacy Policy for how they handle it. To stop them, use the “Stop these emails” link at the foot of any one of them, or write to us.
The weekly streak email. If you answer a question on the quiz every day, you build a streak. Once that streak reaches three days, we send one email a week, on Sunday, telling you how many days it has reached. A streak of one or two days is not enough, so a single visit never brings an email. It stops by itself when your streak does, so it only ever arrives while you are playing. These are sent through Resend, a separate email provider, from the address streaks@updates.greatmahabharataquiz.com; see Resend's Privacy Policy for how they handle it. Every one of them carries a one-click unsubscribe link, and your email program may also show its own unsubscribe button.
Stopping either kind does not affect your progress, your rank or your certificate, and the two are separate — stopping one leaves the other running. You can also write to contact@greatmahabharataquiz.com and we will stop them by hand.
We implement security measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance.
